The CryptoCart team are over the moon to finally announce our partnership with our good friends over at MetisDAO. The Metis community will be able to use their token to checkout across all CryptoCart stores, and future stores.
What is MetisDAO?
Metis aims to revolutionize how people and businesses collaborate using blockchain technology. Layer 1 solutions such as Ethereum are struggling with high gas costs and low throughput. To achieve sophisticated collaborative outcomes and successfully deploy a framework that involves many on-chain operations requiring timely responses, a layer 2 solution
is needed for Metis to achieve its mission. MetisDAO is a rapidly growing Ethereum Layer 2 platform that provides low gas fees, instant transactions, high security and very simple implementation.

How will Metis help CryptoCart?
MetisDAO is fast becoming a rising star in the world of L2 solutions, and for good reason. Cryptocart will benefit from the continued media exposure garnered by Metis by proxy as we will be the only e-commerce token on the Andromeda network. We will work together to bring awareness of both projects to a wider audience as we move forward and grow together.
By building a version of our dApp on the Andromeda network, CryptoCart will benefit from the security of the Ethereum network without the drawbacks of the high transaction fees and slower speeds for said transactions.
In addition to this, becoming a part of the Metis ecosystem will give CryptoCart the exclusive opportunity to share our unique ability to offer additional utility to any token with the rest of the projects tied to the Metis family.

Presently, we have built 6 Amazon affiliate stores which allows users to check out using any cryptocurrency that our platform accepts as a payment method. From here, we are working on expanding to include affiliate stores for Amazon globally, as well as adopting and on-boarding other DeFi tokens as payment methods.
